Tatiana Dueck is a Freshman studying International Business with a focus in China and Asia. She was born and raised in Santa Rosa, CA and has two younger siblings. In High school, she was on the track and field team all four years where she ran the 100 meter and participated in High Jump. She is currently pledging the professional Business Fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, and holds the position as Marketing chair for her pledge class, Gamma Epsilon. Tatiana is passionate about photography and traveling and is planning on studying abroad in China her Junior year. In the future she also hopes to work for an international company, possibly in the technology industry, so she can travel as part of her career.

Sergio Fourzan
Major: Finance

Sergio Fourzan left his hometown of Tijuana, Mexico and moved to San Diego at the age of 17 to study at Mater Dei Catholic High School. As a sport enthusiast, he has played many sports including soccer, golf, racquetball, swimming and his favorite, water polo. Being the swimming and water polo captain of his high school fostered him a passion to teach and help others, which eventually led him to open his own business as a swimming instructor at the age of 17. He is currently a Finance major at San Diego State University and is planning on taking a Economics minor to further widen his knowledge of global businesses and environments. At Delta Sigma Pi, Sergio holds the position of Co-Chair of Activities of the Gamma Epsilon pledge class, where he helps organize events to promote brotherhood among the pledge brothers. His current job as a Financial Analyst Assistant at Forward Capital, a financial advising company based in Chula Vista, has helped him discover his passion for the stock market. He plans on becoming a financial analyst after graduating in Spring 2015 and continuing to work at Forward Capital, although his future plans involve working for a top investment banking company such as Merrill Lynch. In his free time, Sergio likes to ride his bike, produce music, DJ, search for new stocks to invest in, and spend time with his friends and family. Sergio is really looking forward to cross over and become a brother of Delta Sigma Pi, where he plans to contribute his work experience to help others succeed in the business world.

Richard Hatch

Originally from Upland, California, James Richard Hatch is an undergraduate student at San Diego State University who recently switched majors to Business Management. The first year and a half of his college career he was a varsity rower on the SDSU Crew Team where he learned exceptional time management skills from waking up at 4:30 every morning in order to attend practice. In the Spring of 2013 he pledged the Social Fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi, where he served as the Sergeant of Arms of his pledge class with responsibilities to holding his peers accountable for all of their specific duties. In the spring of 2014 he decided to switch majors from Environmental Engineering to Business Management because he felt it gave him a better opportunity to use his social and networking skills to achieve his goals. Soon after he pledged the Business Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi and held the pledge class position of Vice-President and Co-Funding Chair. He plans on expanding his roles in both Fraternities and hopefully taking leadership positions in the near future. In his free time he enjoys meeting new people, powerlifting, and seeing his friends and family whenever he has the time available.

She graduated from Bonita Vista High School in 2011 where she was a part of JV and Varsity Cheerleading. Malia Kunst

Malia Kunst is currently a junior at San Diego State University majoring in Accounting. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois where she attended Oak Lawn Community High School and played basketball and badminton. After graduating high school she attended Moraine Valley Community College where she earned her Associate’s degree in business. Malia began working for Starbucks as a certified barista her senior year of high school and still works there today. She was promoted to a shift supervisor at the age of 19 but after transferring to SDSU in the fall of 2013, decided to step down so she could focus on school and getting involved. Since starting at SDSU, Malia has become involved on campus in various ways including Piedra Del Sol Hall Council President, a Residential Hall Association board member, Special Events and Music & Entertainment committee member for the Aztec Student Union Board, and is currently pledging Delta Sigma Pi with the Gamma Epsilon pledge class where she holds the Co-Fundraising and Activities Chair. Malia would like to graduate from San Diego State with a Bachelor’s in Accounting. She hopes to be accepted into the BMAcc program in order to earn her Master’s in accounting as well and then complete the CPA exam to become a certified public accountant. After her schooling is finished she wants to travel to Italy, Greece, Spain, France, England, and Great Britain so that she can learn more about other cultures and experience the world around her. After Malia is finished traveling she wants to work for a bigger company with in their accounting division such as Netflix, Warner Bros., or HBO because she is very passionate about television and movies. Her favorite television shows include Gilmore Girls, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, The Walking Dead, Dexter, Homeland and many more. Malia’s life-long goal is to marry, settle down, and raise a family.

Leela Lebastchi

Leela Lebastchi is a 3rd year Business Administration Major with an Emphasis in Real Estate. She was born and raised in La Jolla, San Diego where she spent most of her days by the beach. She attended La Jolla High School where she played Lacrosse and ran Cross Country for 4 years. Her passion for real estate started when she was little looking through her Mom’s Dream Homes Magazines, choosing which ones had the highest price or coolest pool. Leela is a member of the Gamma Epsilon Pledge Class of Spring 2014 and serves as Social Chair. Her experience in the job industry includes being a student assistant at the SDSU Card Office, working as a seasonal sale associate at GAP Kids, and working as a waitress at Tabu Sushi. She is also involved in and an active member of San Diego State’s Real Estate Society. She is also an active member of the Building Industry Association and a part of its YGen Mentor Program. She is a mentee in their mentor mentee program where she has 1-2 monthly consolation meetings with a prominent developer. She learns and grows as a professional with the guidance of a respected and successful industry leader. She has been an athlete of San Diego State’s Ski and Snowboard team. Her interests include skiing, going to the beach, learning about astrology, going to family Persian parties, cooking, crafting for rave events, and finding and listening to well produced electronic dance music. In the future, Leela hope to gain more experience in the real estate industry and eventually pursue her career in investing in and developing real estate.

Carlos Rodriguez is a senior double majoring in Financial Services and Pre-Professional Economics. Being a San Diego native, Carlos came to San Diego State University in 2010, being the youngest of three brothers to attend. He has traveled to 4 different continents, where he has gained extensive knowledge of the culture of business worldwide and hopes to continue learning of how different regions globally practice commerce. Past business ventures include profiting from currency trading, coordinating logistics of products from different cities of Mexico into the United States in his family’s custom brokerage business, and an internship at Morgan Stanley, where he assisted one of the top producing financial advisors. Carlos is currently in the process of obtaining the Real Estate Salesperson License and will also start working at Wells Fargo after the fall 2014 semester. Upon graduation, he hopes to obtain his Certified Financial Planner license, as well as various Financial Series licenses in order to become a well-rounded wealth advisor. In the future, Carlos expects to have a diverse portfolio of bullish assets and inventing a revolutionary product. In his spare time, Carlos enjoys playing golf, going to the gym, practicing MMA, and analyzing stocks.

Jake Schlichting is currently a junior as San Diego State majoring in Finance. Originally from Covina, California he grew up heavily involved in sports. At Charter Oak High School he played on the varsity football team which won 2 CIF Championships as well as serving as captain of the golf team for one year. At Delta Sigma Pi Jake holds the position of Webmaster. Jake is fascinated the way that numbers, money and the stock market works, which is why he plans on working in the financial industry. At the same time he is equally interested in real estate and one day hopes to own various income generating properties both commercial and residential. Jake enjoys golfing, watching sports, snowboarding, spending time with family and friends and meeting new people.

Matt Vale

Matthew Vale is currently a junior at San Diego State University, majoring in Accounting. He is originally from West Covina, California and attended Bishop Amat Memorial High School where he played both basketball and baseball for the schools varsity teams. After high school Matthew attended Citrus College and obtained an AA degree in Criminal Justice while being a scholar athlete for the school’s baseball team. He transferred to San Diego State in the fall of 2013 and is currently pledging Delta Sigma Pi as part of the Gamma Epsilon pledge class. In the future Matthew looks to be an Accountant for a sports organization, preferably the Los Angeles Lakers. He enjoys food, being around family, and playing sports.

Stephen Ure is a senior at San Diego State University who is studying finance while also minoring in English. Kate Williamson
Major: Integrated Marketing Communications
Kate Williamson is a second-semester freshman majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications. She grew up in San Diego, California where she attended The Academy of Our Lady of Peace, an all-girls Catholic high school in the neighborhood of North Park. In high school, she was involved in her school’s soccer and cross country teams, the annual spring musical, and the Green Team, who aimed to make the campus more economically friendly. She was a member of the California Scholarship Federation, the National Honor Society, and Rho Kappa, the honors society for excellence in history and social studies. She had the opportunity to travel to Germany and the Czech Republic in the spring of 2012, and this has made her want to travel to places all over the world. Kate rushed Delta Sigma Pi in the spring of 2014, and is a member of the Gamma Epsilon pledge class where she holds the position of Community Service Chair. She currently works part time as a sandwich artist at Jersey Mike’s Subs in Mission Valley, and has previously worked at Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop and as a Lifeguard for Admiral Baker Pool and Clubhouse. Kate hopes to get more involved on campus by joining Student Ambassadors and the American Marketing Association. Outside of school and work, Kate enjoys a wide variety of activities, including watching movies, listening to all kinds of music, laughing to stand-up comedy, going to amusement parks, exploring unknown places, traveling, hiking and anything that involves the great outdoors.
